Revenue Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll work with commercial and asset managers for UK assets, providing technical, commercial, and regulatory support where required. You’ll furthermore be responsible for developing the analytical capabilities within the team, to further develop monitoring of our UK assets and optimise revenue opportunities across all available revenue streams. 

Welcome to Commercial UK 

You’ll be part of the Revenue Management team where you, along with your colleagues, will play a key role in managing and optimising revenues for both our operational UK assets and our future projects. This will require a deep understanding of our existing core revenue streams, but also that you play your part in identifying potential future revenue opportunities that might arise from new technologies or market developments. 

 You’ll play an important role in:  

  • revenue optimisation, including monitoring and analysing actual output and optimisation of set points for UK assets 

  • monitoring bid and offer prices submitted into the Balancing Mechanism in order to ensure that they’re appropriate and competitive 

  • providing regulatory advice and support to commercial and asset managers and the CMC where appropriate 

  • supporting the development of new products or potential revenue streams to the business 

  • ensuring that all TASA services are delivered to our customers 

  • supporting the development of the Centre of Expertise. 

To succeed in the role, you:  

  • have a degree in the natural sciences or economics combined with a good understanding of the UK electricity market 

  • moderate experience working in the power sector or substantial experience in a commercial role in a utilities or telecoms environment 

  • enjoy challenging the norm and are proactive in your approach to your work tasks 

  • have a basic understanding of electrical engineering 

  • are comfortable working in a matrix organisation and having multiple stakeholders to liaise with 

  • have excellent IT skills, including, ideally, experience with Python, R, or MatLab.
