Head of Regional Support – Wind Power Operations UK West

Join us in this role where you’ll be accountable for leading the delivery of varied support functions across the wind farms on the UK West Coast. These functions include Technical Site Support, Project and Contractor Management, Offshore Marine Co-ordination, High Voltage and Transmission Operations, Planning and Scheduling, Warehouse Coordination, and Administration. 

Welcome to UK West Operations

You’ll be a key member of the regional Operations leadership team tasked with delivering HSE, yield, and budget KPIs whilst maximising cross-site synergies. You’ll play an integral role in delivering the long-term objective for the business and directing operational activities in accordance with the overall business strategies and growth plans. Supporting the individual Heads of Sites and operations workforce, you’ll seek out synergies and develop best practices across the portfolio and be a key interface between the region and global partners, collaborating with the functional business units, Operations Technology, Commercial, and HSE.  

You’ll play an important role in:  

  • providing inspirational leadership across the regional Operations team 

  • working with the regional Operations leadership team, led by the Head of Operations UK West, to achieve HSE, yield, and budget KPIs whilst maximising cross-site synergies 

  • acting as a service provider to the regional operations management team by managing key interfaces with global support functions 

  • engaging with stakeholder management and optimising the delivery from, and contractual arrangements with, suppliers, third parties, and contractors 

  • driving a culture of continuous improvement in the Regional Support organisation and driving the development of your team by facilitating a positive and motivating work culture 

  • developing the long-term objectives of the business and ensuring business growth by directing operational activities in accordance with the business’s organisational strategies. 

To succeed in the role, you:  

  • have a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent and experience working in health and safety critical environments 

  • have management and leadership knowledge and experience, ideally within an engineering/utilities business 

  • have experience with strategically coordinating activities and resources 

  • have a collaborative approach and the ability to deliver as an internal service provider to other branches of the execution business 

  • have solid organisational, project, and time management skills with stakeholder management experience and are a disciplined completer.
